When the 2012 RAM Heavy Duty Trucks roll out later this year they will come out screaming. That’s because Chrysler just announced the new line up of RAM HD Trucks are being upgraded to a new 6.7-liter Cummins Turbo Diesel engine.
This bad boy will crank out 350 horsepower and an awesome 800 lb-ft of torque at just 1,500 rpm. When you combine the new drivetrain with the Max Tow Package available on the 2012 RAM 3500 these trucks will be capable of towing an incredible 22,750 lbs!
According to RAM Truck brand President and CEO, Fred Diaz, 79 percent of RAM Truck owners listed towing power as extremely important. The new best in class towing of this RAM Truck will not disappoint.
The 2012 HD line up will also get a few other cosmetic changes. Certain trimlines will include a blacked out grille and bumpers. This is all in addition to a new steering wheel with information center and AV system controls.
