Late last week, Intellichoice and AutoPacific announced the winners of their 6th annual Motorist Choice Awards. For the second year in a row the 2011 Ram Heavy Duty took top honors in the Popular Active Lifestyle Category.

Winning a Motorist Choice Award is one of the industry’s top honors. It not only shows what a great vehicle the company has built but more importantly shows that Ram has built a truck that people actually want to buy. The awards are the result of over 72,000 survey respondents, who provided the companies with their feedback on a recently purchased 2011 vehicle using 48 key attributes.
The Ram Heavy Duty is available in eight different trim levels – ST, SLT, Outdoorsman, Lone Star, Big Horn, Power Wagon, Laramie, and Laramie Longhorn. There are also three different cabs to choose from – regular, crew and mega. The Ram Heavy Duty also allows for two different cargo-box sizes – 6 feet 4 inches and 8 feet. Keep in mind that only certain combinations are not available. Depending on the model and cab you may be locked into one box size, for example.
More importantly the Ram Heavy Duty is powered by a legendary 6.7-liter Cummins Turbo Diesel engine which produces 350 horsepower and 800 lb-ft of torque. No matter what you need to do the Ram Heavy Duty will certainly get the job done.
