L.A.P.D. Chooses Chrysler’s Uconnect System

When the L.A.P.D. was looking for an in-dash infotainment system capable of running programs and applications that were previously only able to be run on larger laptop screens, they chose Chrysler’s Uconnect system. While the normal Uconnect system has a largest-in-the-industry 8.4 inch touchscreen, the police department insisted on something larger.

Now the easy to navigate and intuitive Uconnect system in the Dodge Chargers of the L.A.P.D. are running Uconnect on a 12.1 inch screen in the dash! This larger screen was necessary for displaying the amount of data, graphics, and video while still being easy to manipulate. While this special system has developed with the police in mind, it still has a lot of the controls found on civilian models. It still has dedicated climate control, navigation, and audio controls that are right from the standard Uconnect.
