For the 2012 SEMA Auto Show, Mopar has been working on some spectacular Chrysler vehicles that really stand out in a crowd. One project they are working on has quite a bit of appeal for an off-road application as well. The 2012 Jeep Wrangler Sand Trooper Concept has been beefed up in nearly every way imaginable. A matte-tan and matte-black color scheme is just the first hint at how tough this Wrangler is.
Numerous upgrades from Mopar include a 5.7 liter HEMI V8 good for 375 horsepower and 410 lb-ft of torque. Front and rear off-road bumpers give the clearance and strength needed for climbing mountains. Mopar half-doors and a topless design show that this Jeep is dedicated to one purpose. Some functional upgrades include matte-black wheels with 42 inch Super Swamper Bogger tires, a skid plate, a Warn winch, LED off-road lighting, rock rails, and a trailer-tow hitch receiver. There is also an extensive list of interior and cosmetic upgrades that make the concept as attractive and comfortable as it is competent.
The Sand Trooper concept comes in addition to a long list of Mopar designed vehicles going to SEMA. These vehicles include a Jeep Grand Cherokee Half & Half, Urban Ram, Fiat 500 Beach Cruiser, Dodge Dart Carbon Fire, Dodge Charger Juiced, SRT Viper, Chrysler 300 Luxury, and many more!
