Engineers at Ram are constantly working to make sure that the trucks that come out of the manufacturing plant are going to hold up to the test of time and the exacting standards of modern drivers. For the 2014 Ram 2500 HD, lots of new features and design elements have been incorporated, making sure that the truck is on the leading edge.
New components for 2014 include an upgrade to the rear coil-spring suspension and a new optional engine. The new 6.4-L Hemi V8 cranks out an impressive 410 horsepower and 429 lb-ft of torque while also returning better fuel economy thanks to MDS (Multiple Displacement Systems) more commonly referred to as cylinder-deactivation. This allows the truck to operate with four cylinders deactivated while under lighter loads. The new multi-link coil spring suspension allows the truck to ride smoother and handle better without compromising payload or towing.
