2014 SRT Viper TA: Built to Perform

2014 SRT Viper TAFor car enthusiasts everywhere, the new Viper is a much celebrated return of the legendary nameplate. The new version of this incredible, V10 powered sports car has all the looks, performance, and power that are associated with the name but also has vastly improved interior comfort, quality, and road manners that make it enjoyable for the 99% of us who aren’t race drivers. However, for those of us who need that extra little bit of crazy in our lives, the 2014 SRT Viper TA (Time Attack) puts some of the comfort and daily-driver features aside for a track oriented configuration that is unbeatable.

“The new 2014 SRT Viper TA is engineered for the serious performance enthusiast who needs a car that can be driven daily yet has mind-boggling limits on a road course that would rival many track-only cars. As one of the best handling and fastest supercars available on the market today, the TA enables our customers to take their passion for high performance driving to the next level,” said Ralph Gilles, President and CEO, SRT Brand, Chrysler Group LLC. “The SRT engineering team set out to create a world-class supercar that has few competitors on the track or the road at any price.”

The Time Attack model gets upgrades like a two-mode Bilstein DampTronic suspension setup, a carbon fiber structural X-brace, two-piece Brembo brakes, Pirelli P Zero Corsa tires, and more that make it even better handling and drop the weight to 3,390 lbs. These performance upgrades really allow drivers to take advantage of the SRT Viper’s 640 hp, 600 lb-ft of torque, all-aluminum, 8.4 Liter V10 engine and all its glory. Visual upgrades include unique paint (TA Orange, Venom Black, and Bright White), super-lightweight Sidewinder II wheels, black brake calipers, and carbon fiber aero parts that make for a 700% increase in downforce at 150 mph.
