Chrysler Starts New ‘America’s Import’ Theme with Super Bowl Ad

ChryslerThree year ago at the Super Bowl, Chrysler aired its first pivotal “Imported from Detroit” ad starring rap artist Eminem. In those three years, the ad campaign gained a lot of success and Chrysler has shown a marked improvement in sales.

Now, at this year’s Super Bowl, Chrysler shifted the focus from Detroit to America. Now, Chrysler is “America’s Import.” This ad stars Bob Dylan as the protagonist and the narrator. It also showcases the all-new 2015 Chrysler 200.

The ad shows snapshots of American life with Rosie the Riveter, Marilyn Monroe, a diner, a baseball player, and more. There are glimpses of Detroit, but Detroit is no longer the focus, it is a part of the whole of America.

The ad ends with Dylan saying, “So let Germany brew your beer. Have Switzerland make your watch. Let Asia assemble your phone. We will build your car.”
