It was announced late last month that Lionsgate will partner with FCA to promote The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2, the final chapter in the franchise that has become a huge phenomenon worldwide.
The film will be released on November 20 following three weeks of national ads, which are currently airing during NFL football games. Each ad will feature a Chrysler, Dodge, or Ram vehicle, playing on “the ‘rebellious’ Dodge, the ‘hard working Ram,’ and the resilience of Chrysler,” according to Oliver Francois, a Chief Marketing Officer at FCA.
There will be four ad spots, two featuring Dodge and one each featuring Chrysler and Ram. The Dodge ads will “point to the rebellious spirit of Katniss” and the series, while the Chrysler ad will honor the Hunger Games’ heroes and the Ram ad will reflect on Katniss and her journey to become the symbol of a movement for change.
FCA will also be the presenting sponsor at the red carpet premier of Mockingjay Part 2, which takes place the night of November 16.
