PepsiCo Teams Up with FCA to Help Disabled Veterans and Support Recyling

FCA to help disabled veterans

PepsiCo has teamed up with FCA to help disabled veterans and encourage recycling at the FCA plant in Belvidere, Illinois. In honor of Veterans Day earlier this month, FCA installed a number of PepsiCo recycling bins around the Belvidere plant, including in high-traffic areas where recycling receptacles are most needed.

PepsiCo’s recycling program uses the materials collected to support the Entrepreneurship Bootcamp for Veterans with Disabilities, a program that gives business and marketing training to disabled veterans who were in active duty after 9/11. PepsiCo has donated over $1.5 million to EBV since 2010.

FCA and PepsiCo have both expressed excitement at the partnership with the Belvidere plant. FCA officials are glad to be making a real difference in contributing to both recycling efforts and support for veterans. PepsiCo said that even small changes can have a big impact, and the 4,500 recycling bins in the Belvidere plant are sure to generate a notable amount of revenue for EBV.
