The New York Auto Show was full of product reveals and vehicle launches, but among them, one big debut certainly stood out: the all-new 2017 Chrysler 300S Sport Appearance Packages.
These new packages aim to add more “athletic attitude” to the 2017 Chrysler 300S, with cosmetic changes both interior and exterior, including “a more aggressive front fascia, unique LED fog lamps, plus sculpted side sills and deck-lid spoiler.”
On the inside, you’ll find luxurious, perforated leather performance seats with suede contours, as well as various appointed interior accents and new materials throughout the interior.
Plus, the new packages will be standard on the 300S V8 model, while still available on the 300S V6 models. This means that any of the trim levels are at least eligible for this sporty upgrade.
Pricing is still unavailable for these premium packages, but early orders are scheduled to begin in August. Until then, keep in touch with us at Cumberland Chrysler Center to learn more!
During his North American tour, Pope Francis has been spotted riding in both a white modified Jeep Wrangler and a black Fiat 500L. While the pope himself has been receiving celebrity levels of attention from crowds and the press, his Fiat Chrysler popemobile – the Jeep as well as his 500L—have been causing FCA to experience an increased interest in their products.
Fiat Chrysler was chosen to supply the Pope’s cars for his US tour, and as a result the Wrangler and the 500L are both receiving quite a bit of attention. Dealerships have even reported having a separate display area for the models for buyers interested in emulating Pope Francis’ rides.
The Jeep is, of course, an iconic American brand and widely recognizable, while the Fiat 500L is far more popular in Italy than in the United States. The two vehicles, as well as Fiat Chrysler’s Italian-American roots, seem to be the pope’s way of bridging the gap between Vatican City and his American audience. FCA is hopeful this will also stir some American interest in the Fiat 500L, a compact car.
In any case, the Fiat Chrysler popemobile and Pope Francis’ 500L are both causing a stir in the media due to the pope’s preference for modest, affordable vehicles.
September is always an excellent month for the automotive industry due to Labor Day weekend holiday sales. However, Fiat Chrysler reported astonishing numbers. After selling over 193,000 vehicles in the United States over the past year, Chrysler September sales were at their best since September of 2000.
FCA saw a 14% increase in September, with all of its brands – Fiat, Dodge, Ram, Chrysler, and Jeep – reporting sales gains for the month. Jeep led the pack with a staggering 40% increase in sales. The company is now in its 66th month straight of car sales growth.
Five FCA vehicles have set September sales records for 2015, with three record-setting vehicles coming from the Jeep brand, and two vehicles have had their best month ever.
Chrysler September sales are up at a time when many previous model years are on clearance and many newly-released models are being offered at special prices. The sales increase is also a testament to the quality of Fiat Chrysler’s brand and products.
We don’t mean to brag, but have you heard the good news? If you work for a certified Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) US dealership, you can attend Strayer University for free.
Yes, we did say free. We also had to re-read the press release when we first saw it.
The announcement was made after Chrysler entered a partnership with Strayer University through a program called Degrees@Work. Right now, only employees in the Southeast region are eligible, but Tennessee is well within the region.
We at Cumberland Chrysler Center appreciate that the automaker values its employees and sees the benefit of this program and partnership. If FCA US cares for its employees that much, how much more do you think the automaker takes care of its customers in providing quality vehicles?
“FCA US is a true innovator for taking concrete steps towards reimagining the way education and business work together,” said Karl McDonnell, CEO of Strayer Education, the organization that owns Strayer University. “We are proud to partner with an organization that is tackling national issues of college affordability and the skills gap head-on. FCA US is creating new ways of learning that work for both the employer and the employee – skills are developed that immediately drive measurable results and employees are given a pathway to a college degree without debt.”
Don’t be surprised if you stop by the dealership and see our noses buried in a textbook or two.
What happens when you add a certain letter of the alphabet to a certain Chrysler automobile? Apparently, you attract a younger buyer, averaging around 48 years old rather than 61 years old.
The all-new Chrysler 300S is “a more balanced, upscale version of the 300,” according to USA Today. The S accounts for nearly half of all 300 sales. People can’t resist the hyper-cool “Hyper black” 20-inch rims and the overall “blacked-out” look.
However, it’s largely the performance aspects of the new Chrysler 300S that attracts buyers. The sedan offers two engine configurations. The first is a V6 Pentastar, good for 300 horsepower. There’s also the V8 Hemi, putting 363 ponies on the ground.
Ten years ago, the Chrysler 300S dominated conversations involving high-quality performance sedans. In those days, “it was being treated by buyers as if it were a luxury car,” says USA Today.
Al Gardner, CEO of Chrysler brand, wants the fans from back then to know that he hasn’t forgotten about them. “We want to go and get them back again,” he says. Well, if you build it Al, they will come.
A new multicultural campaign from Chrysler, aimed at broadening the auto company’s audience of drivers, has snagged actor Gael Garcia Bernal – who’s famous for roles in films such as Rosewater and The Motorcycle Diaries – for four of its upcoming commercials.
The television ads will run nationally, all over U.S. Hispanic media, as part of a partnership with both Univision and Telemundo. Viewers can expect to see these commercials any day now, if they haven’t already.
The ads will follow a thought-provoking storyline, about time travel and self-reflection. The story begins when Bernal gets into his 2015 Chrysler 200, only to find a young boy in the car, claiming to be a younger version of himself.
The campaign will continue to follow Bernal’s character in a 2015 200, a vehicle getting a serious spotlight thanks to these commercials. Have you seen the Gael Garcia Bernal Chrysler ads yet? Let us know what you think in the comments.
The Chicago Auto Show brought many exciting new developments, revelations, and announcements to the automotive world this past February – especially the Midwest Media Association’s (MAMA) naming the 2015 Chrysler 200 Family Vehicle of the Year. Boasting luxury and value, the Chrysler 200 allows families to choose from four different models all of which include improved fuel efficiency with added safety and security features.
In order to qualify for the award, the four door cars must be priced less than $50,000 and appear at one of MAMA’s two annual rallies to be evaluated by 99 MAMA journalists. Featuring over 100 vehicles for journalists to drive and assess, the contending vehicles must also be new or considerably updated since its rally held the previous May.
This year marks the fifth consecutive year MAMA has awarded the Family Vehicle of the Year. “We know how important it is, and how difficult it can be, to pick the right family car,” said Patrick Olsen, MAMA President. “This award helps give consumers a chance to see the car that nearly a hundred automotive journalists –many with families themselves — selected as the best choice for families in 2015.”
Come visit Cumberland Chrysler Center and test drive the Chrysler 200 – your family vehicle of the year – today!
