VLF recently used a Dodge Viper as a base to construct one of its most daring projects yet — the stunning Force 1 supercar, which the company debuted at the Detroit Auto Show. VLF says the concept behind the car was to craft a vehicle that could pass with flying colors on the race track while also providing comfort and amenities for everyday life. The luxurious high-performance car is reportedly going into production in late April, for those who want to try out the spectacularly-enhanced Force 1 in person.
Though Viper-based, the Force 1 features an entirely all-new body composed entirely of carbon fiber, with an interior redesigned with luxuries such as quilted leather, a wine holder, satellite navigation, and a wi-fi hotspot. The Viper 8.4-liter V10 has been tuned to crank out an output of 745 hp and 638 lb-ft of torque, in contrast to the Viper’s 645 hp. The show car at the Detroit event used Pirelli P Zero tires on the Force 1’s 21-inch wheels.
The Force 1 supercar boasts the capability of going from 0 to 60 in just 3 seconds, in addition to having a top speed of 218 mph. Only 50 units will be produced at VLF’s plant in Michigan, and the cost reflects the quality and limited numbers of the model, with a sticker price of $268,500.
Dodge knows that to some of us, the garage is the most important part of the house. It’s our home away from home, our sanctuary, a place where we can be creative or just get away from it all for a while.
But maybe your space is in a little bit of disarray. Does your garage need about $20,000 of remodeling work? Whose garage doesn’t, right?
Dodge has teamed up with Contur Cabinet Ltd. and Swisstrax Corporation to give one lucky fan the garage of his or her dreams. And all you have to do is play amateur filmmaker.
To enter the contest, the first thing you have to do is park your Dodge vehicle in your dilapidated garage. Next, make a short film, less than 60 seconds, showcasing the situation. Post your video the Dodge Facebook page by September 21st. Be sure and make your film interesting! Films entered in the Dodge garage makeover contest will be judged on creativity and originality.

The Dodge Caravan and the Chrysler Town & Country are turning 30 this year and Chrysler is celebrating by making a one-of-a-kind donation to the Daily Bread Food Bank. Teaming up with Canstruction, the Chrysler Group put together a life-size replica of a Dodge Grand Caravan made out of 30,000 food cans.
In the end, the model was disassembled and all of the food cans and water bottles are being portioned into 2,000 food baskets that will help those in need. These donations will truly go a long way in helping to provide for less fortunate people throughout Canada. It’s always great to see programs like this, especially during the holiday season. That’s why here at Cumberland Dodge in Cookeville, TN we are proud to be associated with such a caring company.

When the Chrysler Pacifica ended production at the end of 2007, the Dodge Journey gallantly stepped up to replace it with much needed changes.
The Dodge Journey uses the chassis of the Dodge Grand Caravan, making it look like a blend between a minivan and an SUV. This gives buyers the interior space and car-like drivability they want while avoiding the true minivan look.
Globally, the Dodge Journey is quite popular, selling over 100,000 units per year worldwide.
It is available in a variety of models with the base “American Value Package” available for under $20,000 and the fully-equipped, seven-seater R/T coming in around $34,000.
The available 3.6-liter V-6 engine provides 283 horsepower, which makes the Journey fun to drive. And, it is economical, getting 25 mpg on the highway. All-wheel drive is also available, making the Journey even more versatile.
Cumberland Chrysler Center wants you to come experience the 2013 Dodge Journey. Give them a call or stop in to take a test drive today.
