FCA US Super Bowl Commercials in Top Five for YouTube AdBlitz Poll

Amidst watching the Patriots and Seahawks battle for the championship title in the most watched sporting event in the U.S., chances are you also watched several of the 65 commercials that aired during that time. Of those ads, viewers named two FCA US commercials as their favorites according to the YouTube AdBlitzTM Poll.

With that many commercials, plus the addition of a football game, food, and friends creating a less than serene atmosphere, it’s impressive for an ad to stand out at all. The fact that FCA US had two commercials rank in the top 5 and the automaker’s ads are a consistent favorite is nothing short of incredible.

The Dodge brand “Wisdom” commercial ranked number three according to the poll; and Jeep’s “Beautiful Lands” rounded out the top five.

We guess that’s what happens when you combine a quality product and the creative minds of the FCA marketing team.

“Being the only advertiser and automaker to consecutively place in one of the top three positions of the YouTube AdBlitz™ in each of the last five years is a remarkable achievement for our company,” said Olivier Francois, chief marketing officer for FCA Global. “The poll results are a significant benchmark in gauging the impact of our Super Bowl commercials and an incredible acknowledgment of our entire FCA creative team efforts.”

If you missed the favorite commercials on Game Day, you can catch them on YouTube. And of course, be sure to stop by Cumberland Chrysler Center to meet the stars of the commercials.

FCA’s Super Bowl Ads Bring Laughter and Inspiration

Super Bowl ads can often be hit and miss, and the more you produce, the more you open yourself up to being in the later camp.

Incredibly, all three commercials from the Fiat Chrysler Alliance managed to hit rather than miss. Perhaps even more impressive is that none of them borrowed from the same formula—one is funny, another inspirational, and the last… well, it’s hard to describe. Let’s just say there are a lot of old people.

Just like movies or books, we think commercials should be appreciated without spoilers. So we won’t go at length describing the ads—we’ll just put them all at the bottom of this post for your convenience and enjoyment.

How to thank us? Well, how about a visit to the Chrysler Cumberland Center and letting us know what you thought of the ads and the vehicles in them?

If not, we’ll settle for a comment!

Two Jeeps from the History Books Cross the Auction Block

1944 Wyllis MB JeepIf you’re into WWII history, you’ll love this. Just recently, two classic Jeeps went up for auction at the Greenwich Concours d’Elegance and each was expected to go for top dollar.

Showing just how important this era is to some people, professionals put the value of the fully restored 1945 Ford GPW between $35,000 and $45,000. The 1944 Willys MB which claims to have been discovered “new in crate” is expected to go for somewhere between $20,000 and $30,000.

Either way, these old military vehicles are both evocative of the era in which they were built and it is great to see so much interest in them still. For a look at the modern evolution of the Jeep name, stop by Cumberland Chrysler Center in Cookeville, TN.

Jeep Goes Crazy with Six New Concepts for the Moab Easter Jeep Safari

Jeeps Easter Safari ConceptsEach year, Jeep brings a number of custom concept vehicles to the annual Easter Jeep Safari event in Moab, UT. This event is known for the large number of off-road and Jeep enthusiasts who attend to enjoy the popular and engaging trails of the area.

This year, Mopar and Jeep have put together six unique vehicles to display how theJeep Grand Cherokee Trailhawk Wrangler and Grand Cherokee can be customized. In attendance at the event, the Jeep Grand Cherokee Trailhawk shows how the new EcoDiesel V-6 engine can be applied in off-road situations. With custom paint, larger wheel arches, modified SRT bumpers, an SRT hood, custom skid plates, rear tow hooks, and more, this concept is the most intense Jeep GC yet.

Jeep Wrangler Slim          Jeep Wrangler Stitch

The Jeep Wrangler Slim and Jeep Wrangler Stitch explore whole new levels of weight reduction in order to achieve maximum off-road performance. 17-inch forged beadlock style wheels from Jeep Performance Parts, lightweight front and rear bumpers, lightweight rock-rails all help the Slim model to shave precious pounds. The Stitch model has been cut to a final weight of 3,000 lbs through the extensive use of carbon fiber and other lightweight materials. The doors, rear seats, audio, heating and A/C, and sections of the body have all been removed in the search for ultimate weight reduction.

Rather than cutting weight, the Jeep Wrangler Sand Trooper II and the Jeep Wrangler Mopar Recon achieve performance through the use of larger engines and performance upgrades. The Sand Trooper uses a 5.7-liter HEMI V8 producing 375 hp and 400 lb-ft of torque. Extra ground clearance and a custom paint job give this model a menacing stance that means business. The Mopar Recon model steps it up one more notch, making use of the 6.4-liter HEMI V8 crate engine from Mopar that cranks out an impressive 470 hp.
